Spring is here? At least mud season is! What ever you call this season, summer weddings are just around the corner. With the snow melting many of the wedding sites are becoming accessiable. It is never too early to see how the tent is going to fit and what the decoration will be. We are always available to help with either. Durango is in our name but we travel the four corners delivering the best in tents and event supplies.

We had the pleasure of meeting many brides and grooms at the 2008 Wedding Expo, And look foward to finishing up plans for their summer nuptials. With new products and top service we had great time sharing in the excitement of the upcoming season.

Speaking of new, Durango Party Rental has added new lighting options to really help your event shine. From the classic look of cafe chandeliers to a colored display of par can lights the options are limited only by imagination. We even have LED votives to work into your Center pieces or stand alone in frosted globes.

While already offering a large selection of linens, we have added another company. We are proud to annouce that we will be working with BBJ linens. Offering some very distinctive colors and styles and a wonderful web site to help coordinate those. Please feel free to call with questions and ideas concerning linens.

Keep in mind the Home and Ranch show at the La plata County fair grounds will be held on April 26th and 27th. If you are looking for some great ideas to spruce up your home this is the place!

Super bowl, Schumuber bowl! The Southwest Colorado Wedding Expo is here again. Don’t let the winter wonder keep you from planning your summer wedding. The liner will provide your tent with a soft, romantic ambiance for your guests to enjoy on your special day. We are also able to provide several different styles of lighting for the interior of your tent. Our beautiful Cafe Chandeliers cast a romantic glow over your entire event when paired with our delicate Starlight Streamers. If your taste happens to be a bit more minimalistic, we now carry a lighting system which allows us to utilize a circular bracket with LED lights to create a radiant “wash” of light in the color of your choice…a spectacular option for those revelers looking to add an extra touch of flair to an event! For an added kiss of lighting to your tabletops, we are offering a series of LED light ”Flicker Votives.” These innovative lights reflect the ambiance you would achieve by lighting candles…with none of the messy wax drips and no threat of them burning out or blowing out in gusty weather. Each LED flicker light provides the warm and inviting light of a candle for up to 12 hours at the flip of a switch! They are available in standard frosted glass votives, or seated upon pedestals which vary in height. Any of these lighting options are available for your wedding or special event and our professional staff is always eager to help you decide which will best suit your needs. To add that spectacular final touch to the rest of your event, we have expanded our linen inventory to include a wide variety of different sizes, styles, colors, and fabrics! Springtime is quickly approaching here in Southwest Colorado and we are beginning to field a multitude of calls from brides-to-be in the initial stages of planning their ceremonies and receptions. We are always eager to answer questions which make that planning process easier! The most frequently asked questions are regarding the space necessary to accommodate wedding guests. “How many people can I fit at a table?” “How many tables do I need for this many guests?” What size tent will I need for all of my guests?” We carry a variety of table sizes and shapes to help you create the perfect atmosphere on your big day. Typically, we use our 5′ round tables for guest seating, although we carry 4’rounds as well. The 5′ round tables will accommodate 8 people comfortably or 10 people intimately. One five foot round table with chairs takes up roughly 100 square feet of space. You may choose a different style of dining, in which all guests are seated on both sides of very long rectangular tables. These are great for more interactive menu selections, like a cajun boil, or a family style meal. We have both 6′ and 8′ rectangular tables, which may be used together to create a warm and welcoming long table setting for your guests to enjoy! An 8′ rectangular table will provide enough space to seat 4 guests comfortably on each side. To dress the tables you choose, we provide a beautiful selection of high quality specialty linens, available in a wide array of brilliant colors to create the perfect accent for your wedding reception. If you are leaning towards a more casual “cocktail party” atmosphere for your reception, we also carry 2 varieties of ‘cabaret’ or bistro tables. Our cabaret tables are 30″ rounds, and can either be a standard 28″ high, or to add a variation in height, 42″ high. They are a fun and festive accent to your event when paired with our barstools, and our popular portable bar! Hello to everyone out there in Party Rental Land,

You guys are event animals!  We here at Durango Party Rental have had a blast working with all you revellers; planning weddings, family reunions and all sorts of mixers.  The thing we have noticed is that the parties are happening everywhere in the Four Corners, not just Durango.  We are helping events with tent rentals in Farmington, Aztec and Bloomfield.  They need party rentals in Utah and Arizona!  We are so happy to be a part of all the fun!!  Our delivery staff is ecstatic.  They get to drive around this beautiful part of the country and deliver party goods to happy people.  They send a resounding Thank You to all of you throwing parties.  Hey, if you’re throwing a party anywhere in the Four Corners, give us a call.  Our delivery guys would appreciate it.

Spring has sprung! Time for parties everyone! It’s great when you can start a season with a good rhyme.

Spring is definitely in the air, my watery eyes can attest to that.  Aside from the bane of my allergies, I can tell it is spring by the reservations we are getting for all types of party rentals.  Tent rentals, table & chair rentals and even the grill rentals are the top of the list for people itching to have a backyard party.  Calls have been coming in from Durango and The Four Corners for all sorts of get togethers.  Graduation parties are the biggest soirees at this time but it seems as if everyone wants to party right now.  Maybe the longer days and the sunny weather is prompting the party animal in all of us to rear its crazy head.

Hello Boys & Girls!  Welcome to the wedding planning season.  If you are not familiar with this term let me explain.  This is the season of preliminary calls for the upcoming summer wedding time.  These calls are from excited Brides-to-be with general questions posed to us. 

-”What size tent do I need?” is the most often asked question.  We like to answer that question with a question,— can you tell we’re professionals !

“What would you like to use the tent for?”  See the answer to this question is the basis of what type and size of tent you might require to rent for your wedding.  Do you need room for a full reception with dining tables, dance floor, gift table and the like.  Or do you want a “roaming” party with a cocktail, loungy feel full of passed appetizers and a smattering of short and tall tables, where the focus is on the dancing and libations.  This is the first part of planning an outdoor wedding.  After our question we posed to your question is answered we can give you loads of options for tent rentals, then the fun begins!!

It seems to be winter finally in the Four Corners! Snow is falling, the slopes are open and everyone one around is bundled up in their finest winter wear.

The Holiday season is in full swing! People are out and about shopping for that perfect gift, Christmas songs are pervading every corner of every shop and the most important, the bell ringers are out collecting your spare money for the good of the community.

The most obvious cue for us at Durango Party Rental that the Holiday season is here, are all the wonderful parties. Holiday parties are special for they bring together people to celebrate family, friends and blessings. We are fortunate to supply the rental items for these incredible gatherings. We have delivered tables, chairs, linens, table ware and patio heaters to places all over the Four Corners. We feel sort of puffed up with warmth that we can be an integral part of such special occasions.

New Year’s Eve is coming soon and we are again supplying party rentals to a multitude of grand celebrations. Dance floors and champagne flutes are at the top of the list. Portable bars, and designer paper goods are another hot item for New Year. Please stop in to see what wonderful items we have to offer for your celebration. Everyone here at Durango Party Rental would like to extend a resounding Thank You for a great summer of events, to all the merry makers we worked with. We enjoyed all the weddings, family reunions and special community events we were involved in. Each week this summer was packed full of every party imaginable and each one different and original. The people of Four Corners definitely know how to party and we know how to arrange events, it has been wonderful working with all of you. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of it all!

Now Fall has set in and this season is a whole new world of the party rental business. We are still doing events, weddings and parties but they are of a different sort. We are planning winter weddings with tents, flooring and heaters for those wanting to exchange their vows on beautiful snowy nights. DPR is also creating colorful rooms with Fall and Winter colors for fundraisers and the like. (Nod to Margee and your fantastic Harvest Beer Dinner!) This is a fundraiser for Red Cross and this year is the 2nd Annual. This 5 course dinner is served with handcrafted beer, one for each course, from the local breweries. It will be held Friday Nov. 18th, 2005 and should not be missed!

We are also preparing the table ware for the multitudes of Holiday parties. Our clients love the convenience of renting our table ware for all their Holiday guests and returning them to us dirty! This option always eases a little of the stress that accompanies the Holiday Season. We have also brought in paper and plastic party goods, stop in to see what new things we have to offer.
